After the Manila Peninsula stand off, come the unexpected CURFEW. Yes, you read it right. The government will impose a 12mn-5am curfew starting 12:01 Friday in the Metro and the 12 surrounding provinces. These include Central Luzon provinces of Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales and the Calabarzon provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon, Interior Secretary Ronaldo Puno told reporters.

Exempted from the curfew are:

  1. Deliveries of products and services
  2. Passengers of airlines with an early-morning or late-night flight
  3. Emergency cases
  4. Drivers of public utility vehicles such as taxis, buses and jeeps
  5. Doctors and health care practitioners on duty
  6. Police and military personnel on duty
  7. Emergency response persons such as firemen and paramedics;
  8. Night-shift workers such as call center agents
  9. Media crews on duty
  10. Provincial bus passengers and commuters; and
  11. Diplomatic corps.

Violators of the curfew are to be brought to the nearest police station for booking, and will be released after the curfew lapses at 5 a.m., except if the violator is to undergo investigation for more violations.

This would surely make a negative impact in our the economy and most of all, to all the gimikeros and gimikeras out there. Good thing that I wouldn’t have to worry since I’d rather stay at home than lost consciousness drinking some alcohol based beverages that can only bring me headaches.. hehe.
