If right after graduation, we had the discipline to save at least P1,000 a month, we would have only needed 14 years more to have accumulated more than 1 million in savings.
Do the math. We graduated in 2000, and have been working for 8 years now for a total of 22 years. You might be wondering, that would only be 22 years x 12 months x 1,000 = P264,000.000. Where in the world can it become P1 million? That would be the power of Compounding Interest of 10% - which according to Einstein is the world’s greatest discovery, greater than his theory of relativity.
